Quench Your Thirst Thursday #12 ~ "Like The Wind"

It's time for another "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." To understand the purpose of "Quench Your Thirst," please click here!
(Don't forget to come back!! :)

For the #12 edition of "Quench Your Thirst Thursday" is "The Wind" By: CeCe Winans. This is one of my favorite songs to sing. One of the reason is because I relate to it in more ways than one. Not to mentiion, it really speaks to my spirit. Have you ever had a stronghold that seemed too hard to get rid of? No matter how many times you tell yourself and God, "That's it!! I give it all to you, God. I am tired of doing this or walking this path of life that is not pleasing to you."

You say all of that and it is not even a whole week, yet, and you find yourself back into the same pattern or doing the very thing you said you wouldn't do anymore. Not only that, you told God you cast your stronghold or situation only just to pick it up the next day. Knowing that you did something not so pleasing in God's eyes, how do you began to feel? Not to good...right. You may even felt like you disappointed God.

You might have even felt like you know what...."I give up!" or "I can't do this anymore." "Furthermore, how can God trust me when I don't even trust myself." I know because I've been there. That's what this verse from Cece's song means:

With all of my heart I know I disappointed you
And altough I'm real sorry I don't know how to say this time
But if I were to lose you I know, I know I'd go completely
Out of my mind, but I'm running out of time

But I'm so afraid you've forgiven one too many times
And I'm so afraid to give my heart again
Just to have a change of mind
And I'm not quite sure that you can trust me
And I would hate to have you find me again
Driftin' away like the wind

But I am here to tell you that God is a forgiving God. No matter how many times you seem to drift away like the wind, God is there to blow you back in the right direction. And just like the end of the song says:

At night you can hear it cry as the teardrops fall
From Heaven's eyes and somehow you know it's true
These tears that fall could be fallin' for you

You never know when it rains, that the tears coming from heaven could be tears falling for you. It could be Jesus crying out for your soul and interceding on your behalf. If Jesus is willing to fight and cry out for your life, how come you can't fight just as hard to maintain your relationship with God. It doesn't matter how many times you drift away, because God does not keep track of all your sins. However, it does matter that you acknowledge your wrong-doings, repent, and get back on track. Most importantly, you fight with all might to stay on the right path without wavering so easily.

My prayer for you is that you don't keep track of your sins, your disappointments... And never think that God sees you as this terrible person. Also, not to worry about how many times God had to forgive you. I, also, pray that when you feel yourself drifting away like the wind, that you come to yourself before it's too late and let God blow you back in the right direction.

Blessings to you always and forever!!

Don't forget to pause my playlist at the bottom, before you listen to this song.

The Wind (Tears For You) - CeCe Winans

With all of my heart I know I could love you
But with all of my soul I'm driftin' away
And with all of my mind I know you can save me from
myself, and anything else

With all of my strength I wanna reach out for you
With every breath, call out your name
With every step I just want to turn around and say
Make it okay

But I'm so afraid you've forgiven one too many times
And I'm so afraid to give my heart again
Just to have a change of mind
And I'm not quite sure that you can trust me
And I would hate to have you find me again
Driftin' away like the wind

With all of my heart I know I disappointed you
And altough I'm real sorry I don't know how to say this time
But if I were to lose you I know, I know I'd go completely
Out of my mind, but I'm running out of time

But I'm so afraid you've forgiven one too many times
And I'm so afraid to give my heart again
Just to have a change of mind
And I'm not quite sure that you can trust me
And I would hate to have you find me again
Driftin' away like the wind

It blows and nobody know where it's goin' to
(Like the wind)
It blows and nobody know what it's gonna do
(Like the wind)
At night you can hear it cry as the teardrops fall
From Heaven's eyes and somehow you know it's true
These tears that fall could be fallin' for you

"As for you, my son Solomon,
know the God of your father, and serve
Him with a loyal heart and with a
willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts

of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will
be found by you; but if you forsake Him,
He will cast you off forever."

My Attorney : )

My Attorney

After living a "decent" life, my time on earth came to an end. The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what I thought to be a court house.

The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table. As I looked around I saw the "prosecutor." He was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me. He definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen. I sat down and looked to my left and there sat my lawyer, a kind and gentle looking man whose appearance seemed familiar to me. The corner door flew open and there appeared the judge in full flowing robes. He commanded an awesome presence as he moved across the room.

I couldn't take my eyes off of him. As he took his seat behind the bench, he said, "Let us begin." The prosecutor rose and said, "My name is Satan and I am here to show you why this man belongs in hell." He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole, and in the past when I cheated others. Satan told of other horrible perversions that were once in my life and the more he spoke, the further down in my seat I sank. I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own lawyer, as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten about.

As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally upset at my representative who sat there silently not offering any form of defense at all. I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my life - couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I've done?

Satan finished with a fury and said, "This man belongs in hell, he is guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can prove otherwise.

When it was his turn, my lawyer first asked if he might approach the bench. The judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and beckoned him to come forward. As he got up and started walking, I was able to see him in his full splendor and majesty. I realized why he seemed so familiar. This was Jesus representing me, my Lord and my Savior.

He stopped at the bench and softly said to the judge, "Hi Dad," and then he turned to address the court. "Satan was correct in saying that this man had sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations. And yes the wage of sin is death, and this man deserves to be punished." Jesus took a deep breath and turned to his Father with outstretched arms and proclaimed, however, I died on the cross so that this person might have eternal life and he has accepted me as his Savior, so he is mine."

My Lord continued with, "His name is written in the book of life and no one can snatch him from me. Satan still does not understand yet. This man is not to be given justice, but rather mercy." As Jesus sat down, he quietly paused, looked at his Father and replied, "There is nothing else that needs to be done. I've done it all."

The judge lifted his mighty hand and slammed the gavel down. The following words bellowed from his lips... "This man is free. The penalty for him has already been paid in full. Case dismissed." As my Lord led me away, I could hear Satan ranting and raving, "I won't give up, I'll win the next one."

I asked Jesus as he gave me my instructions where to go next, "Have you ever lost a case?" Christ lovingly smiled and said, "Everyone that has come to me and asked me to represent them has received the same verdict as you, Paid in Full"

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." (Romans 8:1-2)

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned;....." (John 3:16-18)

"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

Quench Your Thirst Thursday #11 ~ "I Will Rise"

It's time for another "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." To understand the purpose of "Quench Your Thirst," please click here!
(Don't forget to come back!! :)

For the #11 edition of "Quench Your Thirst Thursday" is "I Will Rise" by Chris Tomlin. Chris Tomlin is one of my favorite contemporary Christian singers. This song "I Will Rise" is about our Dear Jesus' Resurrection and His return. And think about this.......Will You rise when Jesus calls your name?

Even now, we are being call to rise up in our Christian walk as well as our relationship with God. Jesus died and overcame the grave so that we can live an abundant life full of hope, joy, peace and everything else He stands for. But when it's time to be steadfast, immovable, and stand on the word, sometimes we clam up.

This not the time to clam up. This is the time to rise to every ocassion and declare the works of the Lord in Jesus' Name. As you walk bold before the Lord, there will be some obstacles trying to keep you down. But no matter how many times the devil tries to knock you down, you rise back up.

The devil is already a defeated foe. Jesus took care of that when He went to Hades just to rose up in victory on the third day. And God has given us every authority and power with the aide of the Holy Spirit to rise above our enemies in Jesus' name!! Amen and Amen!! So I will ask you again? Will you rise when Jesus calls your name?

My prayer for you is that as you listen to this beautiful worship song, you will become in empowered in the name of Jesus and realize all that He has done for you and me to live a life of freedom. And remember, the day is drawing near for Jesus to return. Then it will be our turn to rise up, when He calls our names.

There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say "It is well"

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

There's a day that's drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

This Too Shall Pass

This Too Shall Pass

If I can endure for this minute
Whatever is happening to me,
No matter how heavy my heart is
Or how dark the moment may be-
If I can remain calm and quiet
With all the world crashing about me,
Secure in the knowledge God loves me
When everyone else seems to doubt me-
If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true,
That darkness will fade with the morning
And that this will pass away, too-
Then nothing in life can defeat me
For as long as this knowledge remains
I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break all of the chains
That are binding me tight in the darkness
And trying to fill me with fear-
For there is no night without dawning
And I know that my morning is near.

Helen Steiner Rice
(Poem Sponsored by: GodisGroovy.com )

My morning wasn't all the great today. It seemed like everything was not going right. You know, just little things here and there that can throw you off your game. So, coming into work this morning, my heart felt a little heavy. I was having one those moments where I felt I really don't want to be here. And all I wanted to was go back home and crawl back into bed. I almost felt like I couldn't even open my mouth and talk to God (almost a sense of disconnection).

To gather my composure (if you will), I got on the computer to set up my post for this afternoon and cam across this poem, which is exactly what the doctor had ordered. This poem reminded me that God is always there, whether it feels like it or not. And this feeling of despair and heavy laden, will pass.

So, no matter what may be going on in your life, even if it is but for a moment, this too shall pass. When you think about the government and the economy, think this too shall pass. When you think about a loved one who is lost, think this too shall pass. When you are feeling down and out, think this too shall pass. When you think about how you are living from paycheck to paycheck, think this too shall pass.

Because one thing I know for sure, according to God's Word (The Living Truth) is that "Weeping may endure for a night, But joy [comes] in the morning," (Psalm 30:5).
Or maybe you should "count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience," (James 1:2-3).

With this is mind, always remember......

Quench Your Thirst Thursday #10 ~ Above All

It's time for another "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." To understand the purpose of "Quench Your Thirst," please Click Here! (Please make sure you come back :)

For the #10 edition of "Quench Your Thirst Thursday" is "Above All" sung by Michael W. Smith. This is also a beautiful and intimate worship song. This song allows you to meditate and come to realization that Jesus name is above all and everything. He's above our circumstances and unpleasant situations. He is above all the issues we are facing with the economy. He is the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS," (Rev. 19:16). "He is the Alpha and the Omega, [the] Beginning and [the] End, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty," (Revelation 1:8).

But at times, we get caught up in so much chaos that we forget who Jesus is and who can bring us through. You see, with Jesus being above all, He has the power to make sure that we don't break-down, but breakthrough our situations. But, it's all about recognizing God for sacrificing His Son, Jesus. It's all about recognizing Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and arosing up on the 3rd day. It's all about recognizing the Holy Spirit giving us the Power to overcome our situations, so that in the end God will get the Glory. And most important, it's all about recognizing that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one.

So, my prayer for all of us that we acknowledge Jesus being "Above All" of our needs and wants. He is above everything. And because He is above all, with Him nothing is impossible. Remember, "one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in us all," (Ephesians 4:6)

So, let this song penetrate your heart and give you the appreciation like never before for Jesus being "Above All." Please remember to pause my playlist to the bottom of this page before you click play. :)

Above All

(Sung By: Michael W. Smith)

Verse 1
Above all powers above all kings
Above all kingdoms
Above all nature and all created things
Above all thrones
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
Above all wonders
You were here before the world began
The world has ever known

Above all wealth
Above all kingdoms above all thrones
And treasures of the earth
Above all wonders the world has ever known
There's no way to measure
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
What You're worth
There's no way to measure what You're worth

Verse 2
Crucified laid behind the stone
Above all powers
You lived to die rejected and alone
Above all kings
Like a Rose trampled on the ground
Above all nature
You took the fall and thought of me
And all created things
Above all
Above all wisdom

And all the ways of man
Above all powers above all kings
You were here
Above all nature and all created things
Before the world began
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man

You were here before the world began
CHORUS

Crucified
Above all kingdoms above all thrones
Laid behind the stone
Above all wonders the world has ever known
You lived to die
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
Rejected and alone
There's no way to measure what You're worth
Like a rose

Trampled on the ground
Crucified laid behind the stone
You took the fall
You lived to die rejected and alone
And thought of me
Like a Rose trampled on the ground
Above all
You took the fall and thought of me

Above all
(Chorus)

(Chorus)
Crucified laid behind the stone

You lived to die rejected and alone
Like the rose
Like a Rose trampled on the ground
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me
You took the fall
Above all
And thought of me

Above all
Like a Rose trampled on the ground

You took the fall and thought of me

Above all

Quench Your Thirst Thursday #9 ~ "Because Of Who You Are"

It's time for another "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." To understand the purpose of "Quench Your Thirst," please Click Here! (Please make sure you come back :)

For the #9 edition of "Quench Your Thirst Thursday" is "Because of Who You Are" sung by Vicki Yohe. This worship song will enter into the inner most part of your heart and melt your spirit. God is so many things to us on so many levels. When we are in need, He is our Provider. When we are sick mentally, physically, and/or spiritually, He is our Healer. When things around us are chaotic, He is our peacemaker.

He is Jehovah Jireh. He is Jehovah Nissi!! He is Jehovah Shalom, our Prince of Peace. There's something about that name Jesus!! There's something about about calling out the Lord's name in praise and worship.

Yesterday, my scripture for Word-Filled Wednesday was Acts 4:12. "There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them," (NLT). And that's why I love this worship song. It's because of who you are God, that I give you all the praise and worship. It's because of who you are that I humble myself before you. It's because of who you are that I lay down in Your presence and seek your face.

God is an awesome God!! With so many names, there are no excuses of why we can't just call on Him!!My prayer is that you will praise and worship God for who He is. And that is, your everything.....your all and all!!! Just let this song minister to the deepest part of your heart!!

Please remember to pause my playlist to the bottom of this page before you click play. :)
