Sunday Scripture Reading ~ Isaiah 55:11

Image
It's Sunday!! I pray everyone had a lovely weekend....catching up with friends....spending time with the family....or just enjoying the simplest things in life. For this week's scripture theme, it's from Isaiah 55:11. "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." From reading this scripture, you can rest assured that when God says something, you can believe it and hold Him to it. God's word is not empty. It's full of life and you can definitely stand on it in the name of Jesus!!   Other Bible Translations for Isaiah 55:11 "It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it." (nlt) "So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will acc...

Sunday Scripture Reading ~ Psalms 51:10

Image
Can you believe that today (June 24) is the last Sunday of this month? This is the last official week of June. Next Sunday will literally be the first day of July. WOW!! Is that something or what?!? Let's get started...shall we? This week's scripture is from one of my favorite Psalms that I read very often. Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalms 51:10) This is one of mt favorite scripture. Psalm 51 is known as the Prayer of Repentance. Verse 10 always seem to stick out and capture my attention. It's comforting to me because it reassures me that I don't have to stay in my junk. When certain things such as issues, emotions, or etc., that are not healthy for my relationship with God or contradicts who I am (my Christian values and characteristics) in Christ, all I have to do is ask God to wash and cleanse my heart of such things. As we progress with the Psalm 51:10, I pray that it is a blessing to you. ...

Dressing For Battle ~ The War is On!!!

Image
As many of you may know, there is a spiritual war going on. And it has been for a very, very, long time. Every year, the spiritual war is more intense than the year before. Despite all of that, we do and will have the victory in the name of Jesus. Though we already know that the war is already won, that doesn't mean we won't be subjected to fighting battles along the way. That is why it so important that we are dress for battle at all time. So, no matter what the devil tries to throw our way, we will be all to stand and fight. However, we must make sure that as Christians, we must abide by our dress code. We cannot afford or risk leaving anything. Every gear is vital to our spiritual survival. Below, there is a checklist for your war clothes to make sure you are dress properly and ready for battle. Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against t...

Mind Changing Scriptures

Image
"And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth." (Colossians 3:2) amp "Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace ." (Romans 8:5-6) nlt "For those who are according to the flesh and are controlled by its unholy desires set their minds on and pursue those things which gratify the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit and are controlled by the desires of the Spirit set their minds on and seek those things which gratify the [Holy] Spirit. Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit ...
