Quench Your Thirst Thursday #8 ~ I Surrender All

It's time for another "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." To understand the purpose of "Quench Your Thirst," please Click Here! (Please make sure you come back :)

For the #8 edition of "Quench Your Thirst Thursday" is "I Surrender All" sung by Brian Littrell. Surrender is an easy word to say, but a hard thing to do. God wants to do so many things in our lives for His glory. However, we limit God's usage of us because we have not or need to surrender stuff to Him such as things, people, relationships, etc.

As you listen to this song, think about or write a list of things you need to surrender. For example, your finances, your health, your marriage, or your job. The list can go on and on. But no matter how long the list, God can take it off your hands with no problems at all. God wants us to surrender every and anything to Him that is hindering our relationship with Him. He wants to lighten the load so we can praise and worship Him with no strings (or shackles) attach.

So, Let go!! Let God!! Let flow!! Let go and surrender all to God. Let God carry the load and release you of any burdens. And let the Holy Spirit and God's love flow throughout your spirit, soul and body.

My prayer is that you surrender everything to God. I pray that as you release every weight and every burden to God, you will experience God like never before.

Please remember to pause my playlist to the bottom of this page before you click play. :)

All to Jesus I surrender
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In his presence daily live.

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me Jesus, take me now.

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

Lord I give to you
All I ever have
And everything I was
And everything I am

And now I lay it down
I lay it at your feet
To your grace
To your power
I surrender all

Lord, I give myself to thee
Fill me with thy love and power
Let thy blessings fall on me

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

The Other Forgotten 10 Commandments

THE OTHER FORGOTTEN 10 COMMANDMENTS
* * * * * *

1.Thou shall not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities.

2. Thou shall not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.

3. Thou shall not cross bridges before you come to them, for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this.

4. Thou shall face each problem as it comes.
You can only handle one at a time anyway.

5. Thou shall not take problems to bed with you, for they make very poor bedfellows.

6. Thou shall not borrow other people's problems. They can better care for them than you can.

7. Thou shall not try to relive yesterday for good or ill, it is forever gone. Concentrate on what is happening in your life and be happy now!

8. Thou shall be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear different ideas from your own. It is hard to learn something new when you are talking, and some people do know more than you do.

9. Thou shall not become "bogged down" by frustration, for 90% of it is rooted in self-pity and will only interfere with positive action.

10. Thou shall count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one.

Commandments sponsored by: GodisGroovy.com

I think that I have broken 8 out of 10 of these forgotten commandments. Many times I have react to a situation or situations with my flesh, instead of pausing and allowing the Holy Spirit to step in first to save the day. This remind me of fire safety. One of the things many of us have learned about fire safety is that when you your clothes catch on fire, don't panic. Don't run in a frenzy because that will give the fire more oxygen to burn. To prevent your clothes to burn more, you must Stop, Drop and Roll!!

We can definitely use a tip like that when it comes to spiritaul safety. When life happens, God doesn't want us to be afraid, to panic, or to go crazy. He wants us to Stop, Pray, and Praise.

1. Stop - When you stop, you are still. You are not moving. "Be still, and know that I [am] God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" (Psalm 46:10)

2. Pray - Sometimes we forget to pray (or communicate) with Him about our situation. God knows what's going on with us before we do. However, He waits for us to open our mouths in prayer and cast our burdens on Him. "Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). In addition to that, God has given us angels to send out on His commands to work that impossible situation to a possible and positive one. "For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone" (Psalm 91:11-12) NIV.

3. Praise - After you stop and pray your situation to God, the best thing to do, next, is praise. Praise Him with a yet praise. Despite of what your situation seems to look like with the natural eye, praise God. When the praises of God go up, the blessings come down. "The LORD [is] my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him," (Psalm 28:7).

So, try not to forget about these commandments. They can remind you that God is God. He is a merciful God. No matter what, He is not going to leave nor forsake us. Most importantly, do not be afraid. Do let the fear of your situation cloud your judgement or cloud your reception from God. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind," (2 Timothy 1:7). Remember my sisters in Christ, to Stop, Pray, and Praise!!

Psalm in a Picture #2 ~ Psalm 46:10-11

Psalm in a Picture is a passage from the book of Psalms in a picture. Psalm is known as the book of praise. There's a psalm for every situation and every mood (whether it's joyful or sad). When so much is going on around us, we can get very busy with our daily schedules and coming and going in different directions 99.9% of the time. Or even when there is an unpleasant situation, we try to figure it out for ourselves. But with all the chaos going on around you, God wants you to be still long enough to realize and know who He is. He is the God of peace and stillness. You just have to trust Him to work your situation, schedule, or whatever you need out on your behalf. But you have to take your hand off and let it stay off of what you're casting on Him. God does not need our help to turn things around for the better in our lives. All He wants us to do is stand still. In the midst of standing still, praise and worship God for who He is.....faithful and just.

While you are standing still, you may feel like you are standing alone. But you're not. Just as Psalm 46:11 says, "The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge.

What is refuge? According to the dictionary, refuge is
1. Protection or shelter, as from danger or hardship.
2. A place providing protection or shelter.
3. A source of help, relief, or comfort in times of trouble.

You see, God is all of that and more. While you are being still in God's presence, no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). My prayer for you is that whatever is going on your life that is causing you to be torn in many directions, you will release it to God and never to take it back from Him. My prayer is also, that once you release your situation, you will be still in God's presence and know that He is God. And that you will "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;" (Philippians 4:6). In Jesus' name, Amen!!

Quench Your Thirst Thursday ~
Your Love Is Extravagant

It's time for another "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." To understand the purpose of "Quench Your Thirst," please Click Here! (Please make sure you come back :)

For the #7 edition of "Quench Your Thirst Thursday" is "Your Love Is Extravagant" by Casting Crown.

There's no greater love than the love God gives to me. God's love is extravagant. God's love is extraordinary. Just think..where we would we be without God's Extravagant love...His Grace and mercy? When you listen to this song think about all the times God has brought you through an unbearable situation. And realize that God didn't help you because He felt obligated to do so. But because He loves you.

And if this is not convincing enough, John 3:16 is proof in the pudding that God's love is Extravagant. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

I pray that God's love fill your heart to the max with His unfailing and extravagant love. It is God's love that brought you here on earth. And it is God's Love that will keep.

Please remember to pause my playlist to the bottom of this page before you click play. :)

No greater love have I ever known You considered me a friend
Capture my heart again

No greater love have I ever known; You considered me a friend

Capture my heart again

Word-Filled Wednesday ~
1 Chronicles 4:10

Photobucket

"And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, 'Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep [me] from evil, that I may not cause pain!' So God granted him what he requested."
(1 Chronicles 4:10)

Jabez's prayer was short, but remains to have a long-lasting impression on many Christians today. This prayer has impacted so many lives in more ways than one. The Prayer of Jabez gives you encouragement, inspiration, and hope. After Japez prayed, God granted him his request.

Have you made any requests to God, lately? God wants to grant our requests, but He is waiting for us to open our mouths and speak it into existence. The James 4:2 says it best,
"Yet you do not have because you do not ask."

When you pray the Prayer of Jabez, make it your own personal prayer. For example, this is the Prayer of Toia...."And Toia (or I) called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep [me] from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted her (or me) what she (or I) requested."

This is my prayer. Now,...You must understand when making your requests known to God, you have to examine your motives. Please make sure your motives are pure and just and not for selfish ambition. "People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives," (Proverbs 16:2)

I pray that this Word-Filled Wednesday has been a blessing to your spirit, soul, and body. Stay Bless and Stay Strong!!!

Every Woman is Beautiful!!

Psalm 139 Pictures, Images and Photos

A little boy asked his mother "Why are you crying?"
"Because I'm a woman", she told him. "I don't understand", he said. His mum just hugged him and
said, "And you never will"...

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God; and when God got on the phone, the man said, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said: "When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world; yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed. "You see, the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her
heart - the place where love resides."

Every Woman is Beautiful!

Quench Your Thirst Thursday ~ Hear Us From Heaven

It's time for another "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." To understand the purpose of "Quench Your Thirst," please Click Here! (Please make sure you come back :)

For the #6 edition of "Quench Your Thirst Thursday" is "Hear Us From Heaven" by Ross Parsely. I love the smooth sound of this worship song. Everytime I hear this song, it seems like it caresses my spirit into God's presence.

I can't pick out a favorite verse from this song. This whole song speaks to me from the beginning to the end. When you listen to this song, close your eyes and meditate on this song. How many times you have gone through such a stressful situation and don't know if you're coming or going? And the only thing you can do is cry out to the Lord and say, "Hear my cry O, Lord!! Hear me from heaven. I need you God!!" Well, I have.

Once again, sit back and listen. I pray this song is very soothing to your spirit, soul, and body. Before pressing play, please remember to pause my playlist to the bottom of the page.

Wordfilled Wednesday ~ Deuteronomy 6:5

Photobucket

I thought this scripture is appropriate since Valentine's Day is Saturday. We should show the Lord love 24/7. It should not be lip service. We should put the love we have for the Lord into action. You may ask, "How do you suppose I do that?"

Well....
1). You can start by communicating to God through prayer. It's pretty hard to make it through the day without talking to the one you love. God loves it when we talk to Him about every and anything.

2). Praise and worship - When you love someone, you try your best to encourage and praise that person for all their good works. God loves the sweet aroma of our praise and worship. When the praises go up, the blessings come down.

3). Read the Bible. When you love someone, you try study and learn as much as you can about them, whether it's their favorite color, favorite food, or etc. So, what better way to get to know God than to read His word. I would go on to say His autobiography.

This is just a few ways. Please understand that you can't give God 50%, 75% or even 99.9% of your love. It has to be all or nothing. It has to be 100%. Just as the scripture says, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength." You have to love the Lord from the inside-out.

Lord, I pray that we learn to love you wholeheartedly with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our strengths. We want to do your will Lord. I pray that nothing or no one will try to separate your people from the love you have for us. On behalf of my sisters and brothers in Christ, I repent for the times we neglected you and for the times we didn't show you our love. I love you Lord and I thank you for your grace and mercy. In Jesus' precious name I pray....Amen.

Scripture Sunday ~
1 Thessalonians 5:15-24

Photobucket
SpiritualGraphics.com

"See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.

1. Rejoice always,

2. Pray without ceasing,

3. In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

4. Do not quench the Spirit.

5. Do not despise prophecies.

6. Test all things; hold fast what is good.

7. Abstain from every form of evil.

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you [is] faithful, who also will do [it]." (1 Thessalonians 5:15-24)

These are beautiful instructions to live by. I pray that we will take heed to God's word and instructions. So that, we may have a bless and fulfill week and life. I, also, pray that we will not waver to the left or right, but stand on God's word. And despite everything that may be going on around us, we would rejoice always and pray without ceasing. In Jesus' Mighty and Precious name...Amen!!

There is no shame when living a life in Christ. The devil and people in general can try to make us feel ashame for being a Christian. So, there is going to be times when you have to pray that you are never ashamed of who you are in Christ. And constantly pray for victory in Christ from your enemies. Your enemy doesn't have to be a physical person. It can be money. It can be food. It can be cursing. It can be smoking. It can drinking. It can be anything that is contrary to the word of God.

Everyday we are being molded by God and His word. There is always something new to learn. Just like David, we have to pray to God to lead and teach us His ways. We have to ask where He wants us to go. But in the midst of that praying for leadership and guidance, we have to be patient. And let God know, no matter how long it takes....I will wait for you (all day, all night, weeks, days months, years). For you are the God of my salvation and you know what's best for me.

It was Palm Sunday, and the family's 6-year old son had
to stay home from church because of strep throat.
When the rest of the family returned home carrying palm branches,
the little boy asked what they were for.
His mother explained, "People held them over Jesus' head as he walked by."

"Wouldn't you know it," the boy fumed.
"The one Sunday I don't go to church, and Jesus shows up!

Quench Your Thirst Thursday #5 - My Redeemer LIves!!

It's time for another "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." To understand the purpose of "Quench Your Thirst," please Click Here! (Please make sure you come back :)

For the #5 edition of "Quench Your Thirst Thursday" is "My Redeemer Lives." You can hear this song being sung by various artists. No matter how many people sing it, it will still hold the same message that - My, Your, and Our Redeemer Lives. He is more alive today than yesterday."

Because Our Redeemer Lives we can do all things through Him that strengthens us. Because our Redeemer lives we will not die, but have everlasting life. It's because our Redeemer lives we move and have our being in Him. Our Redeemer paid the price for our sins.

"For I know [that] my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth;" (Job 19:25). In the midst of Job's turmoil, He still remained faithful to God and continued to bless His name. For He knew who God is and knew who he was in God. That's why He was able to confess so boldly that "my Redeemer lives and He shall stand at last on the earth.

"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer." (Psalm 19:14) This is a great way to end a prayer. God knows who He is. However, He needs for us to make sure we know who He is and reinforce it. That way in the time of trouble there is no mistaken that He is our strength and our redeemer.

There can never be any amount of money to paid back God for all He has done to spare our lives. The best thing we can do is to always remember to praise His Name, worship Him in spirit and in truth, and to glorify His magnificient name. Also, remember to spread the Good news of Jesus Christ and tell people that you know about a Man who has already paid the price for their soul. And He is waiting for them with open arms.

The video you are about to see reinforce Philippians 4:13. And because their redeemer lives in them, they are able to back it up and bank on God's truth. This video brought tears to my eyes. After looking at it, I realize there's no excuse for living my dreams, using my gifts and talents, and going forth in my ministry. You can be and do anything you want in Jesus' Name because - Your Redeemer Lives!!!

So, I pray that this video is a blessing to you spirit, spoul, and body. Stay Bless and Stay Strong in Jesus' Name....Amen.

PS - Don't forget to pause my playlist to the bottom before viewing this video.

MY REDEEMER LIVES
(Nicole Mullen)

Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning?
And who told the ocean you can only come this far?
And who showed the moon where to hide till evening?
Whose words alone can catch a falling star?

Chorus:
Well I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
All of creation testifies
This life within me cries
I know my Redeemer lives

Ye-e-eah
The very same God
That spins things in orbit
Runs to the weary, the worn and the weak
And the same gentle hands that hold me when I'm broken
They conquered death to bring me victory

Now I know, my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify
Let this life within me cry
I-I-I know
My Redeemer

He lives
To take away my shame
And He lives
Forever I'll proclaim
That the payment for my sins
Was the precious life He gave
And now He's alive and
There's an empty
Grave!

And I know
My Redeemer lives
He lives
I know
My Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify
Let this life within me cry
I-I-I know my Redeemer

I know
My Redeemer lives
*I know my Redeemer lives*
