Scripture Sunday ~ Joshua 1:7

I pray everyone is doing well on this glorious Sunday. I am excited to say that I will not be working this summer, because the preschool where I teach does not have a 2-yr part time program for the summer. This is my first summer in about 6 years that I won't be working. I am elated but at the same time it feels frightening (if this is the right word to use).

I just pray that I use this time wisely. I don't want to be a waster of time, get caught up with myself and my agenda, and not take heed to the voice of God because I allow distractions to take precedence over Him. My prayer for this summer is that I would draw closer to God so that I can get a clear map of my journey He has planned for me.

My life scripture for the summer, which I am studying now, is Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." I have a few goals that I would love to accomplish this summer, but I know they won't come to past if I don't Seek God First.

Everday I am denouncing this fear I speak of, because I know that "God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind," (2 Timothy 1:7). Another thing, I wll be able to blog more and get back on schedule.

I am saying all this to bring you to my scripture for today, which is Joshua 1:7,
"Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go." Along with Matthew 6:33, this would be my scripture to remind me to always be strong and courageous, stay focus on God and His Word, and not waver to the left or the right.

Monday's Graphic

Monday's Graphic is in honor of those who sacrificed so much to serve and protect our country. Let us not forget and remember them always. Most importantly, to always keep our soldiers along with their families lifted up in our prayers.

Word-Filled Wednesday ~ Matthew 22:37

Jesus said to him, " 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37)

My daughter drew this picture in children' church on Sunday. She told me that the little stick person is her and the tall stick person is Jesus hugging her. This really touched my heart including the lady who helps with children's church. She said that she is going to let her picture stay up there and not erase it.

God is Awesome!!

God is awesome!! Have you ever just sit back and reflect on your life past or present. And realized that you are truly bless! It does not necessarily have to be any thing big. Praising God for the simple things like, good health, food on your table, clothes on your back, a roof over your head, a sound mind, activity in your limbs, and so much more. If we learn to be more appreciative of things versus complaining about the things we don't have, we see how good God is.

God is good all the time. All the time God is good. "Your goodness is so great! You have stored up great blessings for those who honor you. You have done so much for those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world." - Psalm 31:19

If you know God to be an awesome God, shout "Hallelujah!" and give God the praise.

Psalm In A Picture #10 ~ Psalm 118:24

Psalm in a Picture is a passage from the book of Psalms in a picture. Psalm is known as the book of praise. There's a psalm for every situation and every mood (whether it's joyful or sad). As you read each psalm, I pray it is always a blessing to your spirit, soul, and body. For this week, I chose Psalm 118:24.

There's Nothing Like A Good Laugh Friday ~ :-D

Is There Baseball in Heaven?

Two old men had been best friends for years, and they both live to their early 90's, when one of them suddenly falls deathly ill. His friend comes to visit him on his deathbed, and they're reminiscing about their long friendship, when the dying man's friend asks, "Listen, when you die, do me a favor. I want to know if there's baseball in heaven."

The dying man said, "We've been friends for years, this I'll do for you." And then he dies. A couple days later, his surviving friend is sleeping when he hears his friend's voice. The voice says, "I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that there's baseball in heaven."

"What's the bad news?"

"The bad news is that you're pitching on Wednesday."

A Cat Goes To Heaven

A cat dies and goes to Heaven. God meets him at the gate and says, 'You've been a good cat all of these years. Anything you desire is yours, all you have to do is ask.'

The cats says, 'Well, I lived all my life with a poor family on a farm and had to sleep on hardwood floors.' God says, 'Say no more.' And instantly, a fluffy pillow appears.

A few days later, 6 mice are killed in a tragic accident and they go to Heaven. God meets them at the gate with the same offer that He made the cat.

The mice said, 'All our lives we've had to run. We've been chased by cats, dogs and even women with brooms. If we could only have a pair of roller skates, we wouldn't have to run anymore.' God says, 'Say no more.' And instantly, each mouse is fitted with a beautiful pair of tiny roller skates.

About a week later, God decides to check and see how the cat is doing. The cat is sound asleep on his new pillow. God gently wakes him and asks, 'How are you doing? Are you happy here?'

The cat yawns and stretches and says, 'Oh, I've never been happier in my life. And those Meals on Wheels you've been sending over are the best.

Remember, laughter is good for the soul. The joy of the Lord is our strength!!!

Have a bless and fun-filled weekend!!

A Day At The Park

These pictures were taking during my children's spring break last month. And I thought it would be nice for my children to spend a day with their grandmother, especially since she doesn't get a chance to see them as much because of work and school. Before we went to the park, we all ate ice cream at McDonald's. Along for the ride was my mom's special friend, Abraham. We all had a blast. Enjoy the pictures!!

Beautiful Day!!

This is me enjoying the day in the sun at Azalea Park.

Enlighten Your Vision

Eye Pictures, Images and Photos

"The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!" - Matthew 6:22-23 NASB

The eye in this scripture is referring to your spiritual vision. Clear vision is full of light. A cloudy or bad spiritual vision is full of darkness. We must be very careful not to allow anything or anyone to cloud our vision.

You need your spiritual vision clear so that you may be able to see God's plan for your life. Also, that you may see yourself in a more postive outlook. How do you see yourself? Where do you see yourself 1 year, 2 yrs, or even 5 yrs from now? Can you see yourself being happy and successful?

If your eye is clear, your whole body is full of light. A positive vision gives you joy, because you have a good idea of what you want out of life. It's also gives you a clear view of your purpose, your destiny God has planned for you. When you are full of joy, there's a glow about you. You have a radiant smile. You love to live life and have fun. People are drawn to your joy and your beautiful personality. You walk with confidence. You are reflecting light because you are full of God's glory.

On the other hand, if you always visualize sadness, failure, and negativity, your soul will absorb nothing but darkness. And I doubt it if anyone would want to be in the same room with you. How can you reflect light, if your vision reflects things that are gloomy and depressing. If your eye is dark, light it up with the word of God and visions of joy, love and happiness. The bible says, "God's word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path." God's word is what guides and leads us. It lights the way. As the word is a lamp to your feet, so is it to your eye. As the word is a light to your path, so it is to your sight. In other words, God's word is a lamp to our eye and light to our vision.

God created us to light up this dark world. In the midst of darkness, we should be shining bright. "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV

I encourage you to clear your vision. Confess this day that you do not have a bad eye. I, also, encourage you to be full of light and shine brightly before people all around you. Refuse to let darkness take up residence in your spirit. Read and meditate on God's word daily. Commit yourself to God and His purpose for your life.

A Prayer for Mothers

Mother Prayer

Dear Lord,
today we pray for mothers--
our own mothers, and mothers everywhere,
who have made such a major contribution
to the good qualities we have,
sometimes through genetics,
more often through great effort and patient instruction,
and who have done their best
to gently polish away our rough edges.

Lord, please bless our mothers
for the endless hours of time they spent
and the boundless energy they invested in us.
Bless our mothers for their sacrifices on our behalf
as they often gave up or deferred their own dreams
so that we could have ours.

Bless our mothers for always being there for us,
for being the person we know we can turn to
when we need comfort, encouragement, or just a hug.
Bless our mothers for making a home for us
where we could feel safe, where we felt we belonged.
Most of all, Lord,
bless our mothers for their unconditional love,
for loving us no matter what,
and for frequently showing love
in ways that make us feel valued and cherished.

Lord, please bless our mothers mightily.
Strengthen them, soothe them,
wrap them in Your infinite love
and shower them with blessings
too numerous to count, too magnificent to describe.

We love them, admire them, respect them,
and we wish that You would give them back
many times the good they gave to us.
In Jesus' name we pray; Amen.
