Word-Filled Wednesday ~ Psalm 102:1

Photobucket

This psalm was written for those who are afflicted or overwhelm with so many things that they just have to pour out their hearts and cry out before the Lord. Throughout the bible you can read many scriptures based on joy. Or even read one of my favorite scriptures on joy from James 1:2,"count it all joy when you fall into various trials,".

Before there can be joy, there has to be a cry. In God's eyes, crying is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of humility and strength. When you cry and pour your heart out to God, that's when you began to feel a releasing in your spirit and weights or burden are being lifted off your shoulders. Crying can come in your darkest hour and the lowest point of your life, esepcially when facing an overwhelming obstacle.

Once you cry a good cry, then joy comes. "Weeping may endure for a night, But joy [comes] in the morning," (Psalm 30:5). God knows our hearts and hears our cries. We just have to trust Him that everything will work for good.

Scriptures relating to crying out to the Lord:

"Hear my prayer, O LORD, And give ear to my cry; Do not be silent at my tears;" - (Psalm 39:12)

"Hear a just cause, O LORD, Attend to my cry; Give ear to my prayer [which is] not from deceitful lips." - (Psalm 17:1)

"Hear, O LORD, [when] I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me." - (Psalm 27:7)

"I cry out with [my] whole heart; Hear me, O LORD! I will keep Your statutes." - (Psalm 119:145)

There's Nothing Like A Good Laugh Friday ~ :-D

Writing on the Wall

After hearing a Bible lesson in Sunday school about miracles, a little girl went up to her Sunday school teacher.

"In my house," said the little girl, "when handwriting appears on the wall it's not a miracle, it's the work of my little brother."

Who Will Pay Your Bill?

Mr. Smith was brought to Mercy Hospital (a Catholic hospital),and taken quickly in for coronary surgery.
The operation went well and, as the groggy man regained consciousness, he was reassured by a Sister of Mercy, who was waiting by his bed.

"Mr. Smith, you're going to be just fine," said the nun, gently patting his hand. "We do need to know, however, how you intend to pay for your stay here. Are you covered by insurance?"

"No, I'm not," the man whispered hoarsely.

"Then can you pay in cash?" persisted the nun.

"I'm afraid I cannot, Sister."

"Well, do you have any close relatives?" the nun questioned sternly.

"Just my sister in New Mexico," he volunteered. "But she's a humble spinster nun."

"Oh, I must correct you, Mr. Smith. Nuns are not spinsters - they are married to God."

"Wonderful," said Mr. Smith. "In that case, please send the bill to my brother-in -law."

Quench Your Thirst Thursday #15 ~ Lord Have Mercy

It's time for another "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." To understand the purpose of "Quench Your Thirst," please click here!
(Don't forget to come back!! :)

This edition (#15) of Quench Your Thirst Thursday will be "Lord Have Mercy" by Michael W. Smith. David said it best in Psalm 51:1, "Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions." Have ever thought or could imagine where would you be without God's mercy, His multitude of His tender mercies?

Despite all of the wrong we've done or may do in the future, God will never cease to have mercy on us. Psalm 86:13 says, "For great [is] Your mercy toward me,....".

How about Isaiah 30:18, "Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD [is] a God of justice; Blessed [are] all those who wait for Him." As we exalt His name, give Him praise, give Him worship, and ask for forgiveness, God will have mercy on us.

As you watch this video, pray mercy for your love ones, those you who are lost and need to find their way back to God, your enemies (people you can pretty much do without), and yourself. We are in need of God's mercy every second, every minute, every hour, and everyday. (Don't forget to pause my playlist to the bottom.)

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit," (Titus 3:5)

Psalm in a Picture is a passage from the book of Psalms in a picture. Psalm is known as the book of praise. There's a psalm for every situation and every mood (whether it's joyful or sad). As you read each scripture(s) from the Book of Psalms, I pray that God's Word will be a blessing to your spirit, soul, and body. For this week, I chose Psalm 37:4-5.

There's Nothing Like
A Good Laugh Friday ~ :-D

Praise The Lord

A preacher trained his horse to go when he said, "Praise the Lord," and to stop when he said, "Amen". The preacher mounted the horse, said, "Praise the Lord" and went for a ride.

When he wanted to stop for lunch, he said, "Amen".

He took off again, saying, "Praise the Lord".

The horse started going toward the edge of the cliff. The preacher got excited and said, "Whoa!". Then he remembered and said, "Amen", so the horse stopped at the edge. The preacher was so relieved that he looked up to heaven and said, "Praise the Lord!"

Fruit Thieves

A fruit farmer hired two new workers for his fields, but before he sent them out for the day's work, he told them he had just one rule: don't steal any fruit. The two agreed to obey the rule.

After the day was over, the two workers came in to report to the farmer. He asked them if they had stolen any fruit, and immediately their conscience forced them to tell the truth.

"Yes, we did. We ate some when we got hungry," they said.

The farmer replied, "Ok, here is your punishment. I want each of you to go pick ten of your favorite fruit and come back to me."

The men couldn't believe their ears. This seemed more like a reward than a punishment!

After fifteen minutes, the first thief came back with ten cherries. The farmer promptly told him that as part of his punishment, he would have to stuff each cherry up his nose. The thief was upset about this, but he knew he had done wrong, so he slowly began to push the cherries up his nose one by one.

As he was working on the third cherry, he began to laugh hysterically. The farmer asked him, "What's so funny?"

The thief replied, "The other guy is out there picking watermelons!"

Quench Your Thirst Thursday #14
My Life, My Love, My All

It's time for another "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." To understand the purpose of "Quench Your Thirst," please click here!
(Don't forget to come back!! :)

This edition of Quench Your Thirst Thursday will be "My Life, My Love, My All" by Kirk Franklin. When You listen to this song think about what are you willing to give God. Are you willing to give Him everything?

God gave His very best when He gave His only Son Jesus so that we can live a righteous and God-filled life. God desires all, not partial, even all of our weights and burdens. They weigh so heavily upon our shoulders. God wants all our worship, all praise, all glory, and all honor.

Anything or anyone that hinders you from giving God your all, your best, surrender it to Him. Let Go and Let God, but you have to give Him all of it.

Quench Your Thirst Thursday Is Back!!

It's time for another "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." To understand the purpose of "Quench Your Thirst," please click here!
(Don't forget to come back!! :)

I am resuming my "Quench For Thirst Thursday," because my schedule is coming back into place by this weekend. Quench Your Thirst is about worshiping God, humbling yourself in His presence, and letting Him quench your thirst so that you want thirst anymore. Whatver you thirsting for, whether it's a thirst for free time to spend with Him, a thirst for a sense of direction because you're feeling lost, or a thirst for a closer, deep, and intimate relationship with God, He can quench it.

So to kick off the return for "Quench Your Thirst Thursday" edition #14, I have created a worship video slide of my own. This is the first of many worship/praise slide videos that you would see from me and in turn give God all the glory and praises due to Him.

The song this video is called "Worship Medley" from Shekinah Glory. It's one of my many favorite worship songs. Please, if you will, allow God to just minister to heart and understand that when it comes to worshiping our KING of all kings, our Lord of all lords, our Most High God, we have to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:23-24)

So, enjoy and please remember to pause my playlist to the bottom before viewing the video.
