Destined to be Great and do Great Things

We are destined to do great things. God did not create us to be ordinary, but to be extraordinary. Christians are not designed to be normal or to be just like the world. We are a group of peculiar people.

Peculiar - characteristic of only one person, group, or thing : distinctive; different from the usual or normal; special...

"Characteristic of only one person..." for Christians should be of our Heavenly Father. We are express the Godly characteristics. We are to imitate Christ and His way of doing and handling things; not the way the world does. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control," (Galatians 5:22-23).

We are distinctive, set apart, separate into a different class. We are special. Not only are we special, we are God's special treasures.

"For you are a holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth." (Deuteronomy 14:2)

God created us in His image. And the God we serve is a great God. Because we are made in the image of someone who is so great, are we not to be great and do great things, so that our Father in heaven can get the glory in the name of Jesus???

God has a plan for all of us, but we have to listen to His voice as He order our steps. This may be intimidating to some but it's OK because, "You are of God, little children,........, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world," (1 John 4:4).

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good  (great) works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10) {emphasis mine}
