"And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep [me] from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested." (1 Chronicles 4:10)
I encourage you to make this prayer part of daily confessions. God wants to enlarge our territory in 2009. But, we have to make sure that we prepare ourselves properly. As a result, we will be in the right place at the right time to receive our blessings indeed.
Your Sister in Christ,
Toia

We had such a beautiful time of worship this Sunday that I nearly thought this must be it, we are gone and I'm waiting for the trumpet.
I think angels are a lot taller, Btw! :)
Amen Toia,
Fill your life with prayer and hold onto your hat!
Blessings,
Jan
Toia, thanks for commenting on my blog! Your blog is filled with so many interesting and fun things. I really like the angel picture for today.
The prayer of Jabez is a great prayer. I went through a daily devotional guide based on that prayer several years ago that really helped in my walk with the Lord.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing this!
I began praying the Prayer of Jabez back in 2000 I believe. I made it a personal prayer as your encouraging your readers to do. It's a life transforming prayer just like all parts of the Word of God -- every bit is life changing for us.
Keep pressing in sweetie. God bless you.
What an amazing picture! And that verse is so thought-provoking... "that He would keep me from evil"...
Thanks for sharing this, Toia.
May you have a blessed week.

I love this powerful prayer. It is so easy to be complacent, this prayer stirs our hearts to be open to all the Lord has for us. Beautiful reminder!
