This week continue to confess that the Lord is your portion. If all else fails, you know that without a shadow of doubt that God is right there and on time. Quench Your Thirst Thursday ~ Rock of Ages (Jesus is the Rock)

It's Quench Your Thirst Thursday time. There's nothing like being in God's presence. In addition to Jesus being our Rock, He is a thirst quencher. He is the Living Water; And when we drank from Him, we will never have to thirst or get dehydrated in the Spirit. "Jesus answered and said to her, 'Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life," (John 4:13-14).

So, if you are ready to have your thirst quenched in His presence, then please take time to enjoy this praise song called "Rock of Ages (Jesus is the Rock) sung by the Praise Band in the video below. I hope everyone had a wonderful and fun-filled 4th of July. Mine? It was great. I really enjoyed spending time with the hubby and children. I think my husband loved the fact that he was able to break in his new gril. Notice the cheesy grin on his face in the picture below.

Now for today's Quench Your Thirst Thursday, I came across this song by accident. I was searching for another song and this popped up. I think it was God hinting to me to use it for today's post. It's called Blessings by Laura Story. And this song is exactly that....a blessing. And it is a perfect fit for this week's theme of not being anxious and worrying. For today's Quench Your Thirst Thursday, I chose "Courageous" by Casting Crowns. Courageous is the title song for the movie....you guessed it.....Courageous. I thought this song goes along with our verse this week, Joshua 1:9, perfectly.

Quench Your Thirst Thursday ~ The Revelation Song - Kari Jobe

Back in 2009, I started a segment called "Quench Your Thirst Thursday." It is about allowing God through the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus to quench your thirst. He is the only one who can quench our thirst so that we will never want to thirst again. Please see my very first segment to understand the concept more by clicking here .

Quench Your Thirst Thursday is where I will share my favorite gospel, contemporay Christian, etc. songs that I enjoy singing; And the songs that just touch my heart in such way that I am just overflowing in God's presence. I will post a music/lyric video as well as the lyrics. Sometimes, I come to realize that reading the lyrics instead of singing them is just as rewarding in my devotional time with God.
