Monday is considered for most the first day of a new week. That's probably because Monday is the day when we have to get back to our already hectic scheduled progam. Hence, Manic Monday. For some (or maybe most) Monday is just that....MANIC. In some of my previous posts, I've said that Mondays don't have to be considered the beginning of "Oh NO!! It's Monday again!!" kind of day.
Believe it or not, your mondays doesn't have to be manic as long as you stand on God's Word.
Today's word is PROMISED from Hebrews 10:23, "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who PROMISED is faithful".
promised - Greek word (epangello) #1861 - to engage; to profess; to assert something concerning oneself to announce what one is about to do (an intention); to render a service; to make a commitment; to pledge to do something
God is faithful and just to keep His promises. When God makes a promise, He makes a commitment to do what He said He will do. Throughout the bible you can read about all the promises He made to His people such as Abraham, Noah, David, etc. Every promise God promised He kept. However, regardless of how your situation may look in the natural realm, you must hold fast without wavering. You must keep confessing, confessing, and confessing your affirmation of hope.
"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."
(2 Peter 3:9)
Scripture References:
"But Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end." (Hebrews 3:6)
"Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession."(Hebrews 4:14)
"........If you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain."
(1 Corinthians 15:2)
