Today, I am thankful for being aware: I am thankful for being aware that through the power of Jesus Christ I am able to be anything as long as it lines up with God's plan for my life. I am thankful for being aware that the devil has no power over me unless I give it to him. I am thankful for being aware that no matter what I go through I can choose to stand on God's and overcome any and every obstacle. I am thankful for being aware that whenever I need God, He is just a prayer away. I am thankful for being aware that I am not alone because have sisters in Christ that I can count on.

Since it's Martin Luther King Day, all schools are closed in my area. Sometimes it feels weird having a 3 day weekend vs a two day. But, I don't have any complaints. I consider this an opportunity to relax, relate and release. Right now, I declare this day to be lazy Monday. Besides, what can be better than having a fridge full of food and snacks, curling up on a comfy sofa with your favorite blanket, and watching a movie or two, especially when its very cold outside. The last time I post something on my blog was in July 2007. The crazy thing is that it does not seem like it's been that long. It's been approxiamately 5 months. But to me, it only seems like a few weeks. That just go to show you how fast time flies. I know a lot of you can agree with me when I say that 24 hours in a day do not seem like enough time. However, in reality, it's more than enough time. I guess it's just how we manage our time. If you wrote down everything you did in a day, you be surprise how much extra time you have. Sometimes I feel like I don't have enough time to pray. However, I catch myself having enough time to sit for a hour or two to watch a movie or a favorite TV show of mine. You see, that hour or two I used to watch a television show or a movie could have been used for studying/reading my bible and praying.
