DESIGNER'S ORIGINAL

Designer's Original was born from a desire to inspire women around the world to discover who they are in Christ Jesus and grow closer to God. What began as a place to share Bible study, devotionals, and encouragement has continued to grow as the Holy Spirit has led me into new ways of sharing God's Word and creating faith-filled resources for everyday life.

At the heart of this ministry is a simple but important truth: our identity and worth are found in God. My desire is to encourage women to know that they are loved by Him, to build their relationship with Him, and to walk confidently in the purpose for which He created them.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

WHY “DESIGNER'S ORIGINAL?”

GOD IS THE DESIGNER. WE ARE HIS ORIGINALS.

The name Designer's Original came from the Holy Spirit and is rooted in the truth of Ephesians 2:10: we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.

God is the Designer, and we are His originals. No two people have been designed exactly alike. We are made in the image of God, fearfully and wonderfully made, and created with purpose.

Our worth is not determined by comparison, culture, accomplishments, appearance, or the roles and titles we carry. It begins with the One who created us. When we know the Designer, we can begin to understand the beauty, value, and purpose He placed within His design.

MEET TOIA M. THOMPSON

I'm a wife and mother of three, and I've been blessed to share more than three decades of life and marriage with my high school sweetheart, Larry. I love God, my family, and the life He has given me. Above all, I desire to follow wherever God leads and use what He has placed in my hands to encourage others through His Word.

Creativity has always been a part of who I am. I enjoy singing, making jewelry, crocheting, graphic design and digital art—really, I love the process of creating. Whether I'm working with my hands, designing something visually, writing, or developing faith-centered content, there is something special to me about beginning with an idea and watching it take shape.

I'm also a dreamer and a builder. I love imagining what something can become and then doing the work, one step at a time, to bring that vision to life. That creative spirit has become an important part of how I serve through Designer's Original.

I pray that God will continue to lead me in the way He would have me to go. It is an honor to serve through Designer's Original, and my desire is to empower, inspire, and encourage women through the power of the Holy Spirit and the mighty and glorious name of Jesus.

My prayer is that Designer's Original will reach far beyond what I can currently see, whether through writing, Bible study, devotionals, Guided Journeys, prayer, speaking, women's conferences, or opportunities I haven't imagined yet. I want this ministry to be bigger than I can ever imagine or think, used by God to draw women closer to Him.

This psalm was written for those who are afflicted or overwhelm with so many things that they just have to pour out their hearts and cry out before the Lord. Throughout the bible you can read many scriptures based on joy. Or even read one of my favorite scriptures on joy from James 1:2,"count it all joy when you fall into various trials,". Before there can be joy, there has to be a cry. In God's eyes, crying is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of humility and strength. When you cry and pour your heart out to God, that's when you began to feel a releasing in your spirit and weights or burden are being lifted off your shoulders. Crying can come in your darkest hour and the lowest point of your life, esepcially when facing an overwhelming obstacle. Once you cry a good cry, then joy comes. Give Thanks Day 25 - Day 29 ~ 5 in 1 (Part 2)

This is part 2 of my 5 in 1 post of my 30 Day Give Thanks Challenge. Part 1 has Day 20 - Day 24. So, this post will cover Day 25 - Day 29. Then I will be caught up. Let's get started. Shall we?!? I'm going to share five of my favorite scriptures that I am thankful for. I have to read them from time to time, when I need to recollect myself and gain some perspective sort of speak. Day 25 - I am thankful for Matthew 6:25. Sometimes I tend to worry more often than I should. But when I read Matthew 6:25, it gives me the reassurance that God knows very well what we need; And that we should not worry because He got us cover.   "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. A New You.........Straight Ahead

Although I am excited about the new year, a new attitude, a new walk, a new talk and becoming a new creature in Christ, I do know that it's not going to be easy. But, by faith, I know God will guide, instruct, and direct me along the way. In addition to that, I know this "new me" won't happen with a wave of a magic wand and a few choice words.....Bibiddy Bobbadi Boo....Shazam......Abracadabra...(I think you get the picture.) I am, however, I am going to hold fast the confession of my hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). And I will trust in the LORD with all my heart, And lean not on my own understanding; In all my ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct my paths (Proverb 3:5-6).
