Welcome to another episode of Wonderful Word Wednesday.  Our word of the week is countenance. According to the Webster dictionary, countenance means mental composure, calm, expression, moral support; bearing or expression that offers approval or sanction [influence (as of conscience) that impels to moral action] "Why are you cast down, O my soul? Happy Hump Day!! Wisdom Word Wednesday is going to be a little different from our theme this week, which is based on Psalm 127:1.  Today is the last day of October; And we will be embarking into another holiday month. Thanksgiving is a holiday where most people take time to stop from their busy schedules and give thanks. So, I thought it would be great for the next 30 days to focus on giving thanks to the Lord God Almighty in the name of Jesus for all He has done, for all that He is doing, and everything He is about to do. Having said that, our wisdom word for today is thankfulness. Giving thanks and being appreciative is one of the wisest thing that you can do. "Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done," (Psalm 105:1) nlt. Happy Hump Day!! We are continuing our theme based on Luke 16:10. Being faithful in the work that God has given you, can demonstrate your integrity in Christ Jesus. According to Dictionary.com , integrity is defined as being adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty. This can also mean that you are not willing to compromise who you are in Christ, which one of those characteristics being faithful. When you hear some stories of different CEOs of multi-million dollar companies, you will realize that they didn't achieve their high-class position overnight. Some of them may have started off in the mailroom; While others may have started as an intern. The point is that they had to start somewhere and remain faithful over little things. Happy Wednesday!!! And I love that it is Wisdom Word Wednesday because we are half way there. Hal-le-lu-yer!!! Today's edition of Wisdom Word Wednesday is about the Lord's Strength. This week's Manic Monday is about putting your JOY into action, which goes hand in hand with today's post. With that being said, we should be wise to call on God to be our strength. In distress times, it can be hard to put your joy into action. It may because we are so burden down, discouraged, or just plain weak in our spirit. Believe it or not, this is the best time to call on the Lord to be our strength. Even Jeremiah recognized God as the source of His strength, when he said, "O LORD, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction," in Jeremiah 16:19. Happy Hump Day everybody!! Today is officially the last Wednesday of September. The next time you read a Wisdom Wednesday Post will be in October!! Crazy.....right?!? I mean can someone please slow down the time!! I'm just not ready!! **Sigh.** Okay, now that I have taken the time to exhale, let's move on. How many times can you recall feeling so weak and helpless in a situation? As for me, I think I have lost count. When going through difficult times, some of us may tend to look for other resources (whether it's a person, food, or other outlets) to provide us with strength to get us through tough times. Of course, when we know very well our truest and only source for our strength is God. With that being said, we should be wise enough to allow God to renew our strength. Happy Hump Day!! You are officially half way through this week. Aren't you excited? Woo Whoo!! This week our themed scripture is based on John 16:13-15. However, for today's Wisdom Word Wednesday, I want to focus on verses 14 and 15. It says, "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you." The Wisdom Word for today is ministry. Spreading and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ is the foundation and the key point for our ministry. The books of the bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John gave prime examples of how Jesus ministered to people. Because of the Holy Spirit we have the power to minister to others like Jesus did.   He ministered to people unselfishly, with compassion and righteousness. We should be wise to allow the Holy Spirit to enable us to go forth in ministry the way God intended and planned. Welcome to Wisdom Word Wednesday!! I pray that your week is going good so far. If not, don't fret because God will give you all the strength needed to endure the rest of the week. For Wisdom Word Wednesday, the word is persuaded. We must be wise to be persuaded just like Paul according to Romans 8:38, "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,". In my opinion, Paul didn't have to be persuaded about anything separating him from God's love by what he saw; Because Paul knew and trusted in God. Happy Hump-Day!! Our themed scripture for this week is 3 John 2. For this Wisdom Word Wednesday, the word is prosper. Sometimes people tend to look at prosperity through materialistic things. But prosperity is three-fold.  However, you can't experience true prosperity until you have God in your life. Before you can have prosperity, you must have a priority. And that priority has to be God. A relationship with God must come before any and everything else. "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you," (Matthew 6:33).   When you put God first, everything else we need or may want follows. Prosper means to help on the road or succeed in reaching whatever you set out to accomplish. There is no doubt that God wants His children to prosper.     Welcome to Wisdom Word Wednesday!! For a quick review, our theme scripture for this week is, "Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing," (Psalms 100:1-2). I love the last part of this scripture ...."Come before His presence with singing." The Contemporary English Version says, "Be joyful and sing as you come in to worship the Lord!" To read more bible translations for Psalms 100:1-2, click here. The reason I love the last part of this scripture is because it expresses one of the ways to enter in God's presence, which is through singing. And, boy, do I love to sing. Are ready for Wisdom Word Wednesday?? Woo Whoo!! I know I am. Today's Wisdom Word Wednesday is GRACE. Accepting God's grace is one of the wisest thing you can do for yourself. When reading Ephesians 2:4-5, it is important that we understand by grace [God's unmerited favor, undeserved blessing, His free gift], we have been saved. God extended His grace to us. It is essential to our salvation. God's grace is sufficient for me. It's definitely more than enough in the name of Jesus. In the midst of our tribulations, challenges, and/or lowest points of our lives, God will provide us with grace. With that in mind, God wants us to solely depend on His power. Some people (including me) refers to Wednesday as "Hump Day." However, I think it should be referred to as "Mountain Day." Climbing a hump is nothing compare to climbing a mountain, especially if we are talking about Mt. Everest. Sometimes, you have one those weeks, where you made it through the first half, but second half of your week is still a doozy. No matter how you look it,  your week or weeks were emotionally draining. With all that being said, today's Wisdom Word Wednesday is prayer. Regardless of our circumstances or how many obstacles we're facing, we must remember to be wise enough to pray. We can activate the power of God through prayer. Your prayers don't have to be fancy or very studious. It can be simple and straight from the heart. Happy Hump Day!! You are "Amost there!!"....one of my favorite songs from "The Princess and the Frog. Today, Wisdom Word Wednesday is about being wise enough to PRAISE . " But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;" (1 Peter 2:9). The first part of this scripture not only tells you that were chosen by God and who you are in Christ Jesus, but why. And that reason is to proclaim the PRAISES of God who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Before accepting Jesus into our hearts, we were blind, trapped in utter darkness. It's Hump Day!!! Hallelujah!! That means we are almost there.....to Friday!!! For today's Wisdom Word Wednesday, we are going to focus on hope . Part of Lamentations 3:24 states, "Therefore, I hope in Him!" When you are to point where you feel like you are all alone and have nothing, there is no other peron I would rather for you to put all your hope into, but the Lord God Almighty. Where there is hope, there is faith. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen," (Hebrews 11:1). When you put your hope in God, you are believing without seeing the outcome of your situation, that He is going to work it out for the better. This means you are taken ownership of things that are hoped for, but not exactly manifested. And that is what God wants us to do. He wants us to put our hope and faith in Him, regardless of what our circumstances are. He wants us to see spiritually and not physically. " For we walk ...

Today's Wisdom Word Wednesday is about having the wisdom to realize that God's word is bond . It's a binding security with firm assurance that it will hold without breaking or cracking under pressure.  When you receive Jesus into your heart, you gain access to the power of God's word. God's word is one of our spiritual weapons that we can use to speak victory over the enemy, over our circumstances, and any obstacle that may come our way. God's word is the foundation of our relationship between us and Jesus. We cannot reach our heavenly Father without an intimate and true relationship with His Son. Trust in every word of God in the name of Jesus. "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." Today, Wisdom Word Wednesday is about having the wisdom to understand and acknowledge that Jesus is our rock. He is the solid rock on which we should stand. "On Christ the solid rock I stand; All other ground is sinking sand," (from My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less Hymn). In the dictionary, rock means firm foundation, support, unchangeable, and steadfast. Through Jesus, our salvation in God is unshakable, unchangeable, and unwavering. It's a firm foundation that will never crack, break down, or erode away. When something is firm, that means it doesn't yield under pressure . As long as we allow Jesus to be our solid rock, He is not going to allow us to yield during our pressing times. He will not allow our foot to be moved.  Furthermore, we won't waver in our faith in our understanding of Him, especially when the enemy sends fiery darts our way.
