Trust in Him Tuesday ~ Hope in God (Psalm 42:5-8)

Image
Welcome to another episode of Trust In Him Tuesday.  We are going to focus on Psalm 42:5-8 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance. O my God, my soul is cast down within me; Therefore I will remember You from the land of the Jordan, And from the heights of Hermon, From the Hill Mizar. Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me. The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me — A prayer to the God of my life. (Psalm 42:5-8) Although it may be easier said than done, you must have faith in spite of your heavy burden down circumstances.  Unforeseen, joy-stealing situations have a way of taking their toll on emotionally, spiritually, and physically.  Oftentimes, you may feel lost, overwhelm, defeated, and even hopeless.  Nonetheless, we must remember that God is o...

Selah Sunday ~ Psalm 42

Image
Welcome to another episode of Selah Sunday.  It's hard to relax, release, and refresh when you are feeling stress, sad, distress, or just plain troublesome with a side order of blah because of everything that may be going on in and around your world. As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?  My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say to me, “Where is your God?” (Psalm 42:1-3) Psalm 42 is about yearning and thirsting for God in the midst of your troubles.  This Psalm encourages its readers to meditate on God's kindness and His love, when they are feeling lonely, defeated, or distressed. Special Note: Like the life of a deer depends upon water, so should our lives depend on God.  Those who seek Him earnestly and long to understand Him to find peace, joy, hope, and established their faith.  Feeling separated by God i...

Monday's Edition!!! ~ Grrrrrr!!!

Image
Myspace Monday Comments & Graphics Do you ever feel like this..... here comes MONDAY...again?? Well, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. I don't think I was as bad as I use to be. Sometimes, how I feel about Monday the next day depends on how my weekend went. If had a great weekend, spending time with family or friends, just enjoying, then when Monday comes, it's not a big deal to me. However, if I had a bad weekend for whatever reason, then Monday comes, I am "Grrrrrr! Monday, already!! I mean really!" So, what I try to do now is not think about Monday so much as a "bad" thing.  I put a positive twist on it, by thanking God for the weekend and speaking blessings over Monday and the rest of the week for that matter. The ideal of Monday entering in our lives is a mind game. You can either be positive or you  can "Grrrrr!!!" at the whole idea of it. "I take the positive perspective for 200 Alex!!" =D Whatever ne...

The Pruning Process: Changing From the Old into the New

Image
My last posts are about springing forth into something new as well as allowing God to take you out of the old and transform you into a new creature in Christ that He has destined you to be. In addition to that, I need you to understand that the NEW you is not going to happen with the wave of some sort of a magic wand or overnight. It's not an instant gratification, but a delayed one, which in the long run you will appreciate more. It's a process. God brought this passage to my attention, during my devotional reading. “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in M...

Word-Filled Wednesday ~ Psalm 40:3

Image
We should not be singing the same old song. It's time to allow God to put a new song in your mouth. Not only would those who don't understand how awesome God is fear it, but the devil himself would quaking in his boots. He knows once you grab hold of your new song God has birth in your heart, you will become a dangerously contagious Christian. And there won't no stopping you. People would draw near to you. Then those same people are going to want to know how can they get them a new song and sing it!! Bottomline, God's new song for you will go multi-platinum and spread worldwide!!! Old Things Have Passed Away!!!

Image
Twitter Background "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become NEW ." (2 Corinthians 5:17) New - [Greek word: kainos (kahee- noss ) #2537] - unused, fresh, novel. The word means new in regard to form or quality rather than new in reference to time. Being a new creature in Christ, means that I am not the same Toia I was before I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. And the same applies to you as well. A new creature in Christ is about having a new and improve attitude, a new leash on life, and acquiring new attributes. "Old things passed away..." means that by the power of the Holy Spirit, you don't have to let things from your past or that old stinkin' thinkin' keep you in bondage. You are a new and free creature in Christ, a heir to the throne, a King's son or daughter, a royal priesthood who does not have to accept things that will prevent them from springing forth into ...

Let The New Replace The Old

Image
Myspace Seasons Comments Matthew 9:17 goes along with my previous post - "Springing Forth into Something New." "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. The old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine must be stored in new wineskins. That way both the wine and the wineskins are preserved." (Matthew 9:17) The old cannot handle the pressure of the new. I look at it like this....When it comes to God doing something new in you, it is much too powerful for the old sustain it. So, instead of God birthing something new in you while holding onto the old and risk aborting the plan that He has for, God would rather for you to let all the old go. The Past. Hurts from your childhood. Your insecurities. Scars from a previous relationships. Or anything thats preventing you from pressing forward into your new destiny. With the power of Holy Spirit, you can let go of the old. So when God begin to pour into you....new thoughts, new ...
