It's the last Manic Monday of October. This week is based on Psalm 127:1, "Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain." This psalm is about laboring and prospering with the Lord by building your work, your accomplishments His firm foundation. Psalm 127 reminds of the parable about the wise and the foolish builder in Matthew 7:24-29. “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. Manic Monday is here!! Whoop!! Whoop!! Are you ready? Well, let's do this!! Today's Manic Monday is about putting your JOY into action. Habakkuk 3:18 says, "Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation." Joy in this verse is a verb, which means to put into action.   joy ~ [Hebrew word:gil; Strong's #1523] - To joy, rejoice, be glad, be joyful; a suggestion of dancing for joy or leaping for joy; or to even spin around with intense motion This is really something. Habakkuk is saying despite all the hardships, despite all the pain, and despite that no fruit is growing on the vines, I will JOY in the fellowship of my almighty, merciful, and compassionate God. All I can say is, "WOW!" We should all take note of Habakkuk's attitude during his hardships. Habakkuk shows by example that God is the source of his joy, not his trials and tribulations. According to John 16:7, the Holy Spirit is our Helper. We need our Helper if you want to dive deep into further truth, which Jesus told His disciples in John 16:12, that they could not bear at that time. However, the Holy Spirit fulfills that work of understanding the truth in Ephesians 1:17-18.     Helper - [Greek word:parakletos strong's# 3875] ~ the word signifies an intercessor, comforter, advocate, counselor The Helper in the natural sense symbolizes an attorney that appears on our behalf; pro bono, of course. It's Manic Monday time!!  I think the soundtrack for the beginning of each week should be, "I Will Survive," by Gloria Gaynor.  No matter how much we struggle with Mondays, we always manage to survive the week.  This week's themed scripture is........ "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. It is where the trinity lives. We should not disregard our physical bodies, but we must be a good steward over it. This where we don't overindulged. However, we can pray for self-control. Exercising and being mindful of what what and how much we eat is good way to discipline our bodies. When you discipline your body, you can be at your very best for God's service. Welcome to Manic Monday!! I pray everyone enjoyed and loved every bit of their weekend. I had my first jewelry party hosted by my beautiful sister in Christ, Sonia. Then, after that, my family enjoyed a beautiful service at church followed by a BBQ. Saturday was a full, long, and wonderful day. As a result, on Sunday, we rested, relaxed, and enjoyed some family time together. For today's Manic Monday, we are going to focus on Serve and Gladness from Psalms 100:1-2, "Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing." You can enter into God's presence by shouting, worshipping, and singing to the Lord Most High with gladness. Psalms 100:1-2 express a command that every nation should take heed to and do joyfully. In addition to that, Christians are the main people who should set an example and entice others to praise God. Happy Manic Monday!! To those who are visiting for the first time, WELCOME!! Next Monday, in less than 7 days, my children will be returning to school. I think I am more nervous than they are, when it comes to the first day of school. It's crazy, I know, considering my children are 9, 13, and 16. YIKES!! I pray it's a smooth transition for them. Happy Manic Monday...Y'all!!! It's a blessing to know that when you are feeling down or when you are dealing with a situation that puts a damper on your spirit, you can turn to God in the name of Jesus to work things out for the better. Sometimes, it's normal to be taken aback or become numb in your spirit, when something happens to take the sunshine out of your day. However, you must try to snap out of it long enough to remember who you are in Christ Jesus and what your God can do. That's why you can confirm what God's word says in Zechariah 4:6,"...'Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts." We cannot do anything in our own might and in our own power. It doesn't matter how much money you have. It's doesn't matter if you have huge muscles and you think that you are stronger than the average person. It doesn't, even matter, how smart you are. First, let me start by saying, "Happy Manic Monday!". My monday has been a bit crazy or should I say a little bit.........manic. But, it's funny how the devil tries to distract you or send big potholes your way just to get you all rattled up on the inside. However, I am here to tell the devil he cannot rattle God's children. We have the peace of God living on the inside of us. I am glad that Monday doesn't have be (you know) crazy. Sometimes, I do find it hard to be productive on Mondays. I guess because in my mind I have four other days in a regular work week to make up for it. But today was different. I actually felt like I got some things accomplished today. I feel a wee bit ahead of my game this week. We just have to see what tomorrow will bring. As for right now, we are going to get started with Manic Monday. It's Manic Monday!!  This week our themed scripture is Isaiah 55:11, "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void , But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper   in the thing  for which I sent it." We are going to look at two words:   VOID and PROSPER. Dictionary.com defines void as useless; ineffectual; vain, without contents; empty . God's word is 100% opposite from all of that. His word is not useless, ineffectual, and definitely not empty. God's holy word is full of life and purpose. And whatever God says it is, then that's what it will be. There is power in God's word. I was able to spend some extra time with one of my sisters in Christ. Then, soaked in an awesome service at church on Sunday. It was great!! Anywho, it's time to talk about today's Manic Monday. Singing "Just another Manic Monday!" The weather last weekend was awesome!! My family and I enjoyed as much of it as possible.  For the most part, we just hang out. Now, it's time for our regularly scheduled program. Today's Manic Monday is about light. Matthew 5:16 says that we ought to let our LIGHT shine. The greek word for light in this scripture is: Phos (#5457) ~ the manifestation of God's self-existent life; divine illumination  to reveal and impart life, through Christ. When we let our light shine, we are showing unbelievers that God is real. We are living proof that Jesus died on the cross for us and rose on the third day. Not only that, we should live in a way that is pleasing in God's eyes. According to Ephesians 5:8 -14, we should walk in light. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. I hope everyone's week is off to a good start. For Manic Monday, we will focus on "Be Strong" from Joshua 1:9. What does it mean to Be Strong ?? Let's look at the hebrew word and definition Be Strong - (chazaq; Strong's# 2388): courageous, valiant, manly, strengthen, established, firm, fortified, obstinate, mighty. Being strong is about being courageous, firm, established and so much more. Being strong in Joshua 1:9 is not about physical strength, but about spiritual strength. The more you read God's word and develop your realtionship with Him, the more you become spiritually strong, which in turn the stronger your faith in God becomes. Monday is considered for most the first day of a new week. That's probably because Monday is the day when we have to get back to our already hectic scheduled progam. Hence, Manic Monday. For some (or maybe most) Monday is just that....MANIC. In some of my previous posts, I've said that Mondays don't have to be considered the beginning of "Oh NO!! It's Monday again!!" kind of day.
