A Prayer for Spiritual Growth

Image
Have you ever wanted to pray, but wasn't quite sure what to pray for? Well, if you are ever loss for words, you can always pray the word of God. You can't ever go wrong with praying God's word. One of the prayers I like to read as well as pray from the Bible is Apostle Paul's prayer for spiritual growth in Ephesians 3:14-21. It reads.... "For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, the   He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell     in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.   Now to Him who is able to do e...

Tuesday's Prayer ~ Letting My Light Shine

Image
My Dearest Heavenly Father, You gave your Son Jesus as an example of how we should live as Christians on this earth. Jesus said in John 8:12, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." As a representative of Your precious son, Jesus, I want to let my light shine so that unbelievers will see Your glory reflecting in me. Not only that, I want it to be evidence that you are the Most High and True Living God. Teach me and show me ways that I can be a blessing to others. I do not want to be selfish and keep this light you instilled in me a secret. I want people to know how great and awesome You are. Most importantly, I want them to know that they can be part of a family where there is everlasting life and have a Father that loves you unconditionally despite of all the mistakes you made, your past, where came from, and who you are. I pray this prayer in the mighty and holy name of Jesus. Amen. ...

Tuesday's Prayer ~ Being Strong and Courageous

Image
My Dear Heavenly Father, There have been so many times where I have looked at my situations in fear, instead of looking up to you....my author and finisher of faith. I pray and ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus.  I refuse to listen to satan's lies. I am not weak. I am not afraid. In you, oh God, I am STRONG and I am COURAGEOUS. Your is word full of truth and not lies.  Your word says in Psalm 27:1, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?" And I thank you for never leaving nor forsaking me and being with me everywhere I go. All honor and all glory belongs to you. I also thank you in the name of Jesus for Your omnipresent. There's none like You. I thank You and give You all the praise. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray.....Amen. For more Tuesday's Prayer, click here.

Tuesday's Prayer ~ The Strength To Hold Fast

Image
Heavenly Father, You are my rock and my salvation. You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. I thank you for all you have done and for all that you have planned for my future. I pray for strength to hold fast to my confession of hope despite how things may seem. Please forgive me for the times I have wavered in my hope for You. You are God of many promises; And You are faithful to keep all of them. I thank you for your faithfulness and giving me hope in my times of trouble. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen. The 5 Fingers of Prayer

Image
THE 5 FINGERS OF PRAYER Your thumb is nearest to you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C.S. Lewis once said, a "sweet duty." The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger; as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them. And lastly comes our ...

God is Awesome!!

First of all let me say that God is Awesome and thanks for all the prayers. I was going to get the procedure done at the dentist's office. Come to find out...that dentist was not in my insurance network, so I had to go to the hospital to get it done, which was no problem. To make a long story short, after the dental surgeon at the hospital examine the tumor, he said its known as a pregnancy/hormonal tumor. And it is not all cancerous. By the way, I am not at all pregnant. The only thing he had to do was shave it off leaving a thin layer of the gum over the root of my tooth. Which means, I can talk (hallelujah!).......I can eat (hallelujah!).....I can brush my teeth, just not over that tooth until it heals (hallelujah!) The procedure only took about 10-15 minutes. After everything was said and done, the bleeding stopped immediately and I was not in any pain. Praise God!! Praise God!! I have to return for a follow-up appointment and confirmation on the biopsy of the tumor th...

All Prayers Needed!!!

Image
For the past few months, I piece of my gum over one tooth was swollen. At first I thought maybe it was something that I ate and it was caught up in or down in my gum. After a week it never went down. Then a week turn into weeks then into months. It doesn't hurt or irritate me at all. So I think that's part of the reason why I put off going to the dentist for so long. I finally decided to make an appointment to see the dentist this past week. And apparently, that swollen little ball over my gum is a somewhat of a small tumor. Yikes...right!! I know. My dentist told me most likely its benign. However, once they remove it, which is tomorrow by the way, they will do a biopsy just confirm that it is benign. I'm not scare, but I'm not looking forward to the procedure at all. Because once they cut it off the root of my tooth will be expose. I will have to wait for the gum to grow back. And if it doesn't, they will do a procedure called gum grafting. If you think that is ba...
