"An acorn can grow into an oak tree, but it cannot become a rose bush. You will always be you — a growing, healthy you or a languishing you — but God did not create you to be anybody else. He pre-wired your temperament. He determined your natural gifts and talents. He made you to feel certain passions and desires. He planned your body and mind. Your uniqueness is God-designed." - John Ortberg
We have had a snow storm this morning that wasn't a surprise except we really didn't expect this much snow. We had between 4-6 inches and now the sun is shining. You've got to love Colorado!
Monday blues --glad that I do not work on Mondays anymore.
Also, want to let you know that you are one of the winners of the Pay It Forward giveaway. Please send me your address (myriamf73@hotmail.com) to get the book.
I was so not looking forward to this Monday, however; after praying about it all day yesterday, talking it over with my girlfriends and sharing my story on my life in law enforcement blog, I woke up with a different attitude. I had a great day and I could have hugged GOD if he walked in the office today. The meeting was cancelled and I was able to relax and focus. I have a lot of work ahead of me but with my support group - you, Myriam, Shanita, SLC, Ms. Parkay and a few other blog buddies and the Lord by my side, I am going to start looking forward to Mondays. So with that being said, here's to NEXT MONDAY!
Oh now see - I happen to really like Monday's! Once upon a time it was because everyone else went to school and work and I got a quiet house to myself. Now I sleep all day on Monday. It's wonderful either way. :)
