Scripture Sunday ~ Joshua 1:7

Image
I pray everyone is doing well on this glorious Sunday. I am excited to say that I will not be working this summer, because the preschool where I teach does not have a 2-yr part time program for the summer. This is my first summer in about 6 years that I won't be working. I am elated but at the same time it feels frightening (if this is the right word to use). I just pray that I use this time wisely. I don't want to be a waster of time, get caught up with myself and my agenda, and not take heed to the voice of God because I allow distractions to take precedence over Him. My prayer for this summer is that I would draw closer to God so that I can get a clear map of my journey He has planned for me. My life scripture for the summer, which I am studying now, is Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." I have a few goals that I would love to accomplish this summer, but I know they won't come t...

Scripture Sunday ~ James 4:10

Image
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. - (NKJV) When you bow down before the Lord and admit your dependence on him, he will lift you up and give you honor. - (NLT) Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. - (NIV) Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant]. - (AMP) Get down on your knees before the Master; it's the only way you'll get on your feet. - (MSG) Your Sister in Christ, Free Signature Generator

Word-Filled Wednesday ~ Matthew 22:37

Image
Jesus said to him, " 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37) My daughter drew this picture in children' church on Sunday. She told me that the little stick person is her and the tall stick person is Jesus hugging her. This really touched my heart including the lady who helps with children's church. She said that she is going to let her picture stay up there and not erase it. This is a close-up of my little princess's drawing. God is Awesome!!

Image
God is awesome!! Have you ever just sit back and reflect on your life past or present. And realized that you are truly bless! It does not necessarily have to be any thing big. Praising God for the simple things like, good health, food on your table, clothes on your back, a roof over your head, a sound mind, activity in your limbs, and so much more. If we learn to be more appreciative of things versus complaining about the things we don't have, we see how good God is. God is good all the time. All the time God is good. "Your goodness is so great! You have stored up great blessings for those who honor you. You have done so much for those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world." - Psalm 31:19 If you know God to be an awesome God, shout "Hallelujah!" and give God the praise. There's Nothing Like A Good Laugh Friday ~ :-D

Image
Is There Baseball in Heaven? Two old men had been best friends for years, and they both live to their early 90's, when one of them suddenly falls deathly ill. His friend comes to visit him on his deathbed, and they're reminiscing about their long friendship, when the dying man's friend asks, "Listen, when you die, do me a favor. I want to know if there's baseball in heaven." The dying man said, "We've been friends for years, this I'll do for you." And then he dies. A couple days later, his surviving friend is sleeping when he hears his friend's voice. The voice says, "I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that there's baseball in heaven." "What's the bad news?" "The bad news is that you're pitching on Wednesday." A Cat Goes To Heaven A cat dies and goes to Heaven. God meets him at the gate and says, 'You've been a good cat all of these years. Anything you desire i...

A Day At The Park

Image
These pictures were taking during my children's spring break last month. And I thought it would be nice for my children to spend a day with their grandmother, especially since she doesn't get a chance to see them as much because of work and school. Before we went to the park, we all ate ice cream at McDonald's. Along for the ride was my mom's special friend, Abraham. We all had a blast. Enjoy the pictures!! This is me enjoying the day in the sun at Azalea Park. This is my little princess, Ketirah, picture with my mom's "friend," Abraham. These are my three children hanging out with their Grandma (my mom). Left to right: Jonathan 12, Ketirah 6, and Michael 10. This is the bridge in Azalea Park. Is it gorgeous or what?!? Me and my lovely mom!! Would you believe that she will be 63 on her next birthday? My mom has it going on. :) My three trying to style and profile. The three amigos!! Ketirah and Jonathan It's me again!!! Your Sister in Christ, Free Sig...

Enlighten Your Vision

Image
"The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!" - Matthew 6:22-23 NASB The eye in this scripture is referring to your spiritual vision. Clear vision is full of light. A cloudy or bad spiritual vision is full of darkness. We must be very careful not to allow anything or anyone to cloud our vision. You need your spiritual vision clear so that you may be able to see God's plan for your life. Also, that you may see yourself in a more postive outlook. How do you see yourself? Where do you see yourself 1 year, 2 yrs, or even 5 yrs from now? Can you see yourself being happy and successful? If your eye is clear, your whole body is full of light. A positive vision gives you joy, because you have a good idea of what you want out of life. It's also gives you a clear view of your purpose,...

A Prayer for Mothers

Image
Mother Prayer Dear Lord, today we pray for mothers-- our own mothers, and mothers everywhere, who have made such a major contribution to the good qualities we have, sometimes through genetics, more often through great effort and patient instruction, and who have done their best to gently polish away our rough edges. Lord, please bless our mothers for the endless hours of time they spent and the boundless energy they invested in us. Bless our mothers for their sacrifices on our behalf as they often gave up or deferred their own dreams so that we could have ours. Bless our mothers for always being there for us, for being the person we know we can turn to when we need comfort, encouragement, or just a hug. Bless our mothers for making a home for us where we could feel safe, where we felt we belonged. Most of all, Lord, bless our mothers for their unconditional love, for loving us no matter what, and for frequently showing love in ways that make us feel valued and cherished. Lord, please b...
