Freedom Word Fighters Friday

I'm free!! I'm free!! I'm freeeeeeeeee!! Isn't a blessing to know that Jesus died on our behalf so that we can be free from sin, bondage, and condemnation? Jesus didn't died so that we may live a life of bondage and slavery to sin. He died for us to have life and live it in abundance. The word of God is full of scriptures expressing freedom in Christ. This is where "FreedomWord Fighters Friday" comes in. God's word is sharper than any two-edge sword. We have to use our spiritual weapon (God's Word) to destroy every yoke and release every shackle that is trying to keep us in bondage. So, every friday I would like for everyone to share a scripture or passages that express freedom in Christ. If you like, express to us the meaning of the scripture to you. Or, just share a scripture with no words attached. I declare all of us free in Jesus' name. To get things started.......... Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, an...

Words of Wisdom Wednesday

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, I am starting "Words of Wisdom Wednesday". This where I would share a scripture or passage from the Book of Proverbs, which teaches people how to attain wisdom. You can have knowledge, which is knowing and having all the facts. However, knowledge doesn't mean a thing, if you don't have wisdom, which is applying those facts to your everyday life. Before I begin to share, let me give you some information on the Book of Proverbs from The Spirit-Filled Life Bible. The Book of Proverbs, which was written by King Solomon, is not just a collection of wise sayings, but a collection of collections. The book's purpose statement indicates the desire to ascertain and impart wisdom. It's unifying thought or theme is "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverb 9:10), appearing in another form as, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning (or principal part) of knowledge" (Proverb 1:7). 1. Wisdom (the abil...

Lending a Helping Hand

Every morning when I wake up, I turn on the TV to watch the news so I can see how the weather is going to be for the day. According to my dear ol' weather man, it was going to be 80% chance of rain. He went on to say that we will not see any rain until this evening (around 4pm) and no severe weather heading our way. It was about 12:15, when me and my teacher assistant were laying our children down to nap, after lunch. Then all of sudden the bottom fell out and we received a code gray over our radios in the classroom. Code gray for us mean a tornado warning. Then I thought, I don't remember the weather man saying all of this earlier. But it was all good. I was cool. I thought a meteorologist job is the only occupation you can have, whereas if your forecast is off a tinch or alot, you can guarantee to still have a job the next day. But anyway, after waking up the children and getting them ready so moms can pick them up around 2pm, it was time for me to go home. So I signed my lit...

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." (Mark 11:22-24) Your Sister in Christ Toia

Adding a Third Column to My Blog

I finally did it. For the past two weeks, I was trying to add a third column on the right. So I came across Blogger Tricks . It has everyone who are experts sort of speak in the blogging template field. In this case the expert was Blogcrowds. It was a bit rough. But after I understood the codes and about 4 to 5 tries, I finally was able to add a third column w/o messing up and losing my blog. Yipeee!! If you first don't succeed, try, try, and try again. :) Your Sister in Christ, Toia
