Sunday's Scripture Reading ~ Joshua 1:9

bible-reading 1

I pray and hope everyone had a blessed weekend!! I did. God blessed me with another year of living. My birthday was Saturday, June 9th. It was a great, funfilled weekend spent with some of family and friends. Thank you, Lord for blessing me with another birthday.

Now, it's time start a another week. This week we will be about being courageous and realizing that no matter what we go through God will be with us always.

Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and of good courage;
Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed,
for the Lord your God is with
you wherever you go.”
(Joshua 1:9)

God commands us to be strong and of good courage. He doesn't want us to be bound by fear. We cannot exercise our faith in God if we are afraid. It's been said many times that fear distorts our faith, which is so true. In addition to that, God gives us the reassurance that He is us with us everywhere we go. So, there's need to be afraid. If God is for us, who can be against us?

God, your God, is with you every step you take."
