Sunday Scripture Reading ~ Isaiah 55:11

bible-reading 1

It's Sunday!! I pray everyone had a lovely weekend....catching up with friends....spending time with the family....or just enjoying the simplest things in life. For this week's scripture theme, it's from Isaiah 55:11.

"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

From reading this scripture, you can rest assured that when God says something, you can believe it and hold Him to it. God's word is not empty. It's full of life and you can definitely stand on it in the name of Jesus!!

Other Bible Translations for Isaiah 55:11

"It is the same with my word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it."
(nlt)

"So is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."
(niv)

"So also will be the word that I speak—
it will not fail to do what I plan for it;
it will do everything I send it to do."
(gnt)

"So will the words that come out of my mouth
not come back empty-handed.
They'll do the work I sent them to do,
they'll complete the assignment I gave them."
(msg)

"So shall My word be that goes forth
out of My mouth: it shall not return
to Me void [without producing any effect, useless],
but it shall accomplish that which I please
and purpose, and it shall prosper
in the thing for which I sent it."

Such confidence to know that His word will accomplish the purpose for which He sent it.
